situated on the top of a hill west of the city. Swoyambhunath literally
means self originated God. This 2000 years old Stupa, is one of the most
sacred Buddhist religious sites in Nepal. The huge symbolic representation
of Buddha hood signifies five elements through which the living beings are
made up of - Air, Water, Fire, Earth & Ether. The thirteen steps going
up spirally are the steps of wisdom, crossing each spires successfully leads
an individual towards the ultimate goal, i.e. to Attain enlightenment to
liberate human kind from sufferings.

Pashupatinath - Not only it is the most important Hindu
temple in Nepal it's one of the most important Shiva temple on the
subcontinent and draws numerous Devotees from all over India each year. The
temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva who is the destroyer and creator of the
Hindu pantheon and appears in many forms. His terrible Forms are probably
best known particularly his appearance in Nepal as the cruel and Destructive
Bhairabs, but he also has peaceful incarnations including those of Mahadev
and Pashupatinath, the lord of the beasts. As the temple is located on the
bank of the Bagmati River, which is considered to be the holy River,
therefore Hindu people prefer to be cremated here- as such visiting this
temple would enable our visitors to know the Religious formalities that are
being carried out before and after the cremation.

them once stood and have not been rebuilt.

from the 17th century and is a replica of the main shrine at Pashupatinath,
which is in Kathmandu. This temple is notable for the erotic Carvings on the
roof struts, which show some exhausting looking positions.

added to by successive kings, particularly Bhupatindra Malla. When it was
first built, it had 99 courtyards out of which only seven remains this
resulted due to the devastating earthquake in 1934. The Royal Palace of
Bhaktapur is called Pachpanna Jhyale Durbar (Palace of fifty-five windows).
This palace was constructed during the reign of the builder King Bhupatindra
Malla, whose namasteing figure kneels on a stone pillar opposite. Golden
Gate. The magnificent Golden Gate is the entrance way to the 55 Window
Palace. The Gate is generally agreed to be the single most important piece
of art in the whole Valley.

stories, 30-meter high Nyatapola Temple is not only the highest temple in
