Kathmandu Valley Tour (7 Nights / 8 Days)

Culturally rich and extraordinarily beautiful, the mountain kingdom of Nepal offers a wealth of spectacular sights. Explore the hidden secrets of this ancient kingdom in the capital city of Kathmandu; enjoy an elephant safari in pursuit of the Rhino at the Royal Chitwan National Park and explore the adventure land of Pokhara with its natural setting of lakes and mountains.

Day 1 Arrive Kathmandu: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel for a stay of two nights. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city.Kathmandu

Day 2 In Kathmandu: Morning tour of Kathmandu includes the Durbar Square; the Temple of Kumari, the residence of the living Goddess with its carved wooden balconies and windows and Swayambhunath, said to be over 2,000 years old and one of the world’s most fabulous Buddhist Stupas. Afternoon visit to the medieval city of Bhaktapur or the ‘city of devotees’, the third largest city in the Kathmandu valley and once the capital of Nepal during the great Malla Kingdom from the 12th to the 15th century. Explore the Durbar Square and the numerous temples.

Day 3 To Chitwan: Morning transfer to the airport for a short flight to Bharatpur, on the edge of the Royal Chitwan National Park. On arrival, check into your lodge for two nights. Afternoon game drive either by jeep or on elephant back, through the rolling grasslands, in search of wildlife indigenous to the park.

Day 4 In Chitwan: Spend the day in the wild. Early morning elephant back safari through the dense grasslands that are a habitat for the rhinoceros, wild boar tiger and other mammals. Enjoy a boat ride observing the abundant wildlife which includes marsh crocodile, fresh water dolphin, otter and a wide variety of birds. Late afternoon game drive includes a visit to the elephant camp accompanied by a naturalist.Kathmandu

Day 5 To Pokhara: Drive to Pokhara where you will stay for two nights. Afternoon tour of Pokhara valley visiting the new market, Tibetan Camp, Gupteshwar Cave, Seti Gorge and Devi Fall.

Day 6 In Pokhara: Morning trek to the World Peace Stupa for stupendous views over Pokhara and the Himalayas (weather permitting). Continue on foot to Phewa Lake and take a boat back to Pokhara.

Day 7 To Kathmandu: Fly to Kathmandu. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 8 Depart Kathmandu: Transfer to the airport for your international flight back home.
