Singinawa is a
Sherpa word which means ‘Protectors of the Sacred Forest’
and is the philosophy which guides us.

Located on 55 acres of land, in the tiger heartland of the
world, Singinawa Jungle Lodge offers a unique experience
of the jungles of central India with all the comforts of a
world class lodge. The lodge offers the chance to not only
learn about the tiger and its habitat but to also
experience ecologically responsible tourism and see
conservation at work benefitting local communities and the
Tiger Reserve.
Trained naturalists take you on safari in customized
4x4 vehicles to offer an insight into the unique ecosystem
of the park where animals like the highly endangered Swamp
Deer, Dhole, Gaur, Tiger and a whole host of birds may be
seen. Back from safari, you can savor a choice of
cuisines, relax at the spa, go for a bicycle ride into the
nearby tribal village, visit our model organic farm or
even take a walk on the land to see how degraded land has
been protected and natural grasslands & forests allowed to
regenerate.

The lodge and its 55
acres ground features 12 cottages, many waterholes, rich
grasslands, fresh water river, beautiful rock features and
magnificent trees. Facilities include:

Activities

Safari visits to
Kanha National Park: Safari visits to the park take
place twice a day in customized 4x4 vehicles. Morning
visits can be upto six hours long and a packed breakfast
is served by a dedicated naturalist in the Park. Safari
visits can also include the opportunity to view tigers,
off elephant back subject to availability as the elephants
are owned and operated by Park authorities. A visit to the
Park Interpretation Center can also be arranged.
Local culture and leisure activities: There is a
two kilometer nature trail on the lodge grounds as well as
several walks along the Tannaur river and in the buffer
zone of the Park adjoining the property. In addition,
there is a neighboring Forest Department Nursery with a
large roosting colony of fruit bats which provide a
fascinating insight into the world of these creatures.
There are some all terrain Firefox bicycles available at
the Lodge for those who would like to explore the
surrounding areas or visit the charming tribal village of
Kohoka where it is possible to get a glimpse of the
lifestyle of the local people.

Visit to the local school, village markets 'haat'
and weekly cattle fair can also be organized upon request.
For Cooking Classes join our chefs for learning how to
cook everyday Indian food or even the nuances of creating
the finest ‘tandoori’ dishes. Relax by the swimming pool
where the bird songs and the rustle of wind in the grass
are the only sounds you hear, follow up your swim with a
session at the Spa where trained therapists treat you to
reflexology or massages to relieve your travel fatigue.
Picnics can also be arranged on the grounds or by the
Tannaur River.
Visit the Singinawa Farm to see how we are trying
to set an example for villagers to follow, by growing
organic crops and plants with medicinal properties. Pick
your own vegetables or explore the land and river banks.
Getting There :
By Train:
Railheads at Gondia (110 km), Jabalpur (203 km), Nagpur
(290 km), Raipur (213 km) and Bilaspur (182 km) can be
used to get to Kanha.
By Air: Jabalpur, Nagpur and Raipur are all
connected to the major cities in India. Chartered flights
can land at Birwa airport just 5 kms from the Lodge.
By Road: A good network of roads connects Kanha TR
to other protected areas in the region like Pench TR,
Bandhavgarh TR, Panna TR, Achanakmar & Phen Sanctuaries
and also to important towns in the region.
