Hilton Worldwide opens Hilton
Garden Inn in New Delhi/Saket
Hilton
Worldwide
has opened Hilton Garden Inn in New Delhi/Saket,
marking the latest addition to the brand’s portfolio
of nearly 500 hotels worldwide. The Hilton Garden Inn
features 114 guest rooms equipped with a range of
amenities including: Self-adjusting,
pressure-relieving Garden Sleep System bed; In-room
work space with a desk and ergonomic Mirra chair
designed by Herman Miller; Complimentary wired and
wireless high-speed internet access; Secure and remote
printing to the hotel’s complimentary 24-hour business
centre; 24-hour Pavilion Pantry convenience shop
featuring a variety of snack options, microwaveable
meals, a selection of beverage options and sundries.
Best Western to open five new properties in India
by year-end

Best Western, which has 11 operational hotels in
India, will open five new properties in the country by
this year-end, taking its count to 16 hotels in India.
It will open one five-star hotel each in Kolkata,
Bengaluru and Goa, as well as one three-star property
each in Goa and Gurgaon by the year-end. Best Western
is aiming to expand its network to 100 hotels over the
next seven years in the country.
Royal Orchid Hotels launches Royal Orchid Central in
Ahmedabad

Hospitality chain Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd. has
announced the launch of Royal Orchid Central,
Ahmedabad. This is Royal Orchid Hotels’ 13th hotel in
India and the first hotel in Gujarat.
The 104-keys Royal Orchid Central has facilities like
Wi-Fi access, business centre, coffee shop, conference
hall and health club. To cater to local needs, the
restaurant Pinxx offers a large spread of vegetarian
dining options. The hotel has top-of-the-line
recreation and fitness facilities, swimming pool,
which will be launched soon along with other services
and will include Pinxx - a 24x7 new-age coffee shop
which serves quick bites and beverages.
IHCL to soon launch Vivanta by
Taj – Srinagar, Kashmir
The
Indian
Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced its foray into
Srinagar, in Jammu and Kashmir. A management contract
for a hotel under the upper upscale brand Vivanta by
Taj was signed with SAIFCO Hill Crest Hotels Pvt. Ltd.
recently in Srinagar.
Vivanta by Taj – Srinagar, Kashmir will have 89
rooms during its launch; with suites and guest rooms
spread out in villas. The services will consist of an
all-day dining restaurant, a tea lounge, a bar and a
specialty restaurant. Recreation facilities will
include an expansive spa and fitness centre besides
large meeting and banqueting facilities and a business
centre. Starwood to Open Another
15 Hotels in India by '12
Starwood Hotels & Resorts
plans to add another 15 hotels in India by 2012 and
the hotel operator's chief executive said that
untapped demand in the country could spell swift
returns for the new properties.
Starwood on Sunday opened its 25th hotel in India, the
Westin Pune Koregaon Park, which falls under the
upper-upscale category of hotels. The No. 8 hotel
operator also operates Le Meridian and Four Points by
Sheraton hotels in India. |
