Dear Partners,

Namaste! Around ten years ago, Goa began selling raindrops. It has not had a quiet moment since. Monsoon tourism is big business here, with tourists flocking in droves for relaxation and rejuvenation. All the local festivals are during this time, like the feasts of St Antony, St John the Baptist, the Siolim Village Boat Festival and the Sangod Festival of Candolim - occasions packed with fun, including bonfires, feasts, dances, entertainment shows by theatre groups and bands.

Business is mainly driven by the domestic market, though pioneering states like Goa and Kerala are setting out to woo even foreign tourists with the promise of fun in the rain.

Monsoon tourism is a relatively new concept in Kerala, but it's picked up well.

Clearly, there's not only a potential, but a necessity to promote the monsoon season to give a fillip to the tourism sector. And if the other states followed the lead, there might no longer be any off-season in the tourism sector.

With this Newsletter we offer you Kerala Special Monsoon Offer!
