DAY 01. ARRIVE DELHI Arrive
Delhi. You will be met by our representative outside the customs enclosure
and escorted Till your check in at the hotel.
DAY 02. DELHI -
BHUBNESHWAR BY AIR Morning in time transfer to airport to connect
flight to Bhubneshwar. On arrival you will be met by Our representative at
airport and escorted till your hotel.
Afternoon half day tour of
Temple City. Finest temples are the Lingraj Temple, Rajrani Temple,
Mukteshwar Temple, Parsurameshwar and Brahmeshwar Temple. These temples are
some of the best specimen of the Orissa Temple architecture.
Overnight
at the hotel.
DAY 03. BHUBNESHWAR - PURI After
an early breakfast proceed by surface to Puri enroute visiting the famous
temples of Konark. See the beautiful Sun temple built in the 13th century in
honour of the Sun God. Its exquisite carvings, the life-size statues of
Lions and Elephants, colossal figures of warriors on horses, scenes of
battle and the case-all testify to the high standard of ancient Indian art
and architectural skill.
Afternoon city tour of Puri.
Visit the place of pilgrimage for the Hindus, the renowned Jagannath Temple
built in the 15th century AD and crowned with Vishnu's wheel and flag
dominate the landscape at Puri. The temple with its elaborate carvings and
mouldings are very fine examples of Orissa architecture.

DAY 04. PURI - GOPALPUR Post breakfast drive to Gopalpur. Gopalpur
- on - sea is quiet and charming sea resort along the Bay of Bengal, in the
district of Ganjam, Orissa. It offers secluded environment and magnificent
sun, surf and sand for most of the year.
Rest of the day at
leisure at the beach.
Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 05.
GOPALPUR - RAYAGADA Morning post breakfast proceed by surface to
Rayagada.
Rayagada is a district of meadows, forests, waterfalls,
and terraced valleys, peopled by colourful tribals and many primitive tribal
groups. The scenic beauty and heritage on the land is an unexplored
paradise. The systematic relationship between men and nature is a feast to
the eyes of an outsider. It has its own languages and culture. The tribes
living in the district posses dissimilar economics ranging from food
gathering to settled cultivation. Their languages/dialects, societies and
culture show inter-societal/cultural variations because of the persistence
of ethnic mosaic formed by communities belonging to the scheduled tribes,
scheduled castes and other castes groups.
Afternoon visit the
weekly Tribal markets.

DAY 06. RAYAGADA - CHATIKONA - KORAPUT - JEYPORE (MUST BE WEDNESDAY)
Early morning after breakfast drive down to Chatikona to watch the
interesting colorful weekly market of Dongaria Kondh tribes. This tribe is
one of the most primitive tribe of the Kondh's they live in the high slopes
of the Niyamagiri Hills. These people are horticulturists. They grow fruits
like Orange, Pineapple, Banana etc. The male people of this community also
wear earrings, nose rings, and keep their hair as women. Later proceed to
Jeypore enroute visiting some villages of Paroja tribes.
Arrive
late evening and check in at the hotel and overnight.
DAY 07.
JEYPORE - VISHAKAPATNAM Morning post breakfast proceed by surface
to Vishakapatnam enroute visit some beautiful south Indian villages.
Vishakapatnam was named after the God of valor, Visakha. Once a small
fishing, it formed a part of the Kalinga empire, under Ashoka in 260 BC.
passed on successively from the Andhra kings to Bengi to The Pallavas,
Cholas and Gangas. In the 15th century, Vishakapatnam became a part of the
Vijayanagar Empire. It was transformed into a port town under the British.
Now a bustling industrial and commercial city, it is the country's largest
ship building yard. The most famous landmark at Vishakapatnam is the
Dolphin's Nose, a rock promontory in the port that is 358 Mt. In height. The
Ramakrishna Mission Beach, on the east cost and Rishikonda, known for their
serenity, are popular with tourists.
On arrival transfer to the
hotel. Relax in the evening and overnight.
DAY 08.
VISAKAPATNAM - MADRAS (CHENNAI) BY AIR Morning in time transfer to
airport to connect flight to Chennai (Madras).
Arrive Chennai.
You will be met by our representative at the airport and escorted till your
check in at the hotel.
Afternoon half day city tour of Madras,
visiting Victoria art gallery, the Bronze Gallery, St. Thomas Cathedral.
Drive past the marine drive.
Evening at leisure and overnight at the
hotel.
DAY 09. IN MADRAS Rooms are held on this day only till 1200 hours
noon. After check out one can relax in the lobby or take an optional tour of
Kanchipuram temples.
Later in the evening transfer back to
International airport to connect flight for onward destination.
DAY 10. LEAVE MADRAS Take the flight back home on this day.
